Where does the testing take place?
All VO₂Max testing is done at Box Nutrition & Performance, based in Birmingham. B24 9QR. Once you book, we'll send you directions, parking info, and what to bring on the day.
How long does a VO₂ test take?
A VO2Max test appointment will be around 30–45 minutes from start to finish, where lactate will be around 60mins. That includes a consultation, a short warm-up and the test itself. You'll also have a data review afterwards before your report is sent within 48hrs.
What should I wear or bring?
Normal running gear — shorts, T-shirt or vest, and your usual trainers. Bring a towel and water bottle. If you use a chest-strap heart-rate monitor, feel free to bring that too.
Can I join if I'm not in Birmingham?
Yes. You can still join the Performance Accelerator (Remote). We'll use structured field tests (6-min VO₂ estimate, Critical Speed, Zone-2 drift) inside Run Pace Pal to create the same data-driven plan. You'll get the same coaching, progress tracking, and retesting schedule — minus the lab visit.
What happens after the 90 days?
Most athletes continue into Run Pace Pal Premium (£9.99/month) or ongoing coaching. That means your data, progress, and training zones all stay connected — you just keep building on the foundation we've set.
Can I do just the testing without coaching?
Absolutely. A single VO₂ test is £125, and you can always upgrade later to the full Accelerator if you want programming added.
Do I need to be an experienced athlete?
No. We work with runners and HYROX athletes of all levels. Your plan and testing intensity are based entirely on your physiology, not your finish times.
